Named after milk distribution in the United States of America; Milk Run Transport is based upon the collection of the same or different cargoes by the truck from various points in line with a certain schedule and delivery of these cargoes to one or multiple points and collection of the empty containers during the deliveries, or collection and return of the empty containers by following the reverse direction upon the completion of all deliveries. As a method that ensures saving on time and labor with accurate and fast planning; Milk Run transport makes the process efficient in this way.
With our wide service network, powerful suppliers and 4000 self-owned vehicles; we, as Mars Logistics, offer efficient Milk Run transport service particularly in the regions where mostly the automotive sector operates. In Automotive Milk Run transport, we are market leader with 51% share based on the number of cars manufactured in Turkey.
With planned routing system in Milk Run Transport model, we meet the shipment needs of our customers ensuring the utilization of the capacities of transport vehicles in the most efficient way and the use of stock areas in frequent shipments more effectively. With the planned shipment lines, we organize 100 thousand trips per year for each customer on the basis of operating for 24 hours in 6 days per week. With Milk Run transport model, we also offer benefits such as prevention of possible damages during loading or carriage, elimination of the need for conducting quality control procedures again at the producer’s facility, reduction of costs and acceleration of production.
